Multiplex AW2 and WAV ?

Post by Alibabo » Tue Jan 17, 2006 10:21 pm

Ok guys , after collect hundred AMV from my PC,PS1,PS2 games. One day i wonder : Well I did Demultiplex a PSS file to W2V and WAV files.. Now I try to Multiplex a W2V and a WAV file back to PSS. So i point to the PSSPlex Tool and oops.. WTF ! Holy crap.. the PSS files that i get from W2V and WAV get freeze and shaking sound..and also some freeezeee at frames.. I wonder wtf happened.. SO i do the track down.. and it's seem the problem was from the sound file format. PCM files seem not work well if we do the multiplex .. Any guys meet this case before ?

Thx for reply but i want to Multiplex the W2V and WAV file back to PSS extension file. Because PSS file is great for storage :

- Small.
- The quality of video is Original.
- Convenient.

Any guys have any way to multiplex the files W2V + WAV that run as smooth as well like the original PSS one ?

no clue there... not even sure why you would want to do that for "storage".

those pss files most likely are mpeg2 video streams with some kind of audio... you're better off just encoding to mpeg2. less work to convert it again when you want to get back to them.

Simple answer: You can't. If anything, the audio is in a proprietary format, and the ripper just decoded it to WAV when it ripped it. It's also M2V, not W2V - there is no such thing as W2V. You'd be better off just encoding the WAV to AC3 and using TMPGEnc to multiplex the two together into a standard MPEG-2 file. The 'PSS' container (which is just a modified MPEG-2 Systems Stream, if I remember correctly) doesn't do a damn thing to the size of the file. That M2V is the original stream.
