Who does Ichigo remind the shinigami of?

My friend and I were discussing it, and we can't remember if they ever actually said. If anybody knows who he does remind them of... yeah, tell us please!

I think your talking about Kaien-dono, Rukia's old Lutenient "can't spell that". It's either him their talking about or Ichigo's father, but why his father? Did I say too much?
