Oh and if it's worth it... it'd be worth it for you to search the bargain bins for last years version programs. In many cases you aren't loseing anything you'll miss and it'll be 70% cheaper if you buy it second hand. Just make sure you get the manual and serial... Also don't buy from sony.com or adobe.com or whatever, those are for gimps ;p you can probley get it for alot less if you qualify for an educational discount (just gotta work/ attend a school... and just 1 credit at least).

It's also a matter of looking as to whether or not your computer can handle an upgrade... a reason why WMM might have been crashing in the first place was the computer itself so an upgrade to a more process heavy program might just be a waste of money.

Knowname if you found vegas that hard compared to premier (most people I've talked to have found it easier, and they're right) then honestly your an idiot. If your ever stuck, the manual exists for a reason.

Waffle I was refering to the way knowname made it sound like vegas was a thousand times harder to learn than permier, not that he simiply found it more difficult.

I've heard most people who used Premiere before saying that (including myself). I guess it's propably much easier to learn if you're not used to Premiere or a similar program beforehand :P

What program you choose is up to you of course, I'll just say that I completely switched over from Premiere to Vegas because its abilities were much too limited for many things I wanted to do ;)

I've heard some people before say they only use After Effects, but I found that harder and less user friendly than vegas or premiere.

thats probably a good reason, but the program did seem harder to locate some features.

x2.

I would say ; "go for it."
I don't know Vegas, so I can't actually talk about the program.
But in my opinion, YES, it is worth it. Editing 5/6 hours every week is not THAT little in the end, so believe me, it is worth it.

There is only one problem: All depends from you. If you want to make the "jump" or not. This is all. :)

Oh yes, and of course there is the wallet. :?
