ogm file problem

ogm file problem

i can't seem to put ogm format vids on vegas 6.0 is there a way to fix this or is there something wrong with my comp

Decompress it into a lossless format. Don't ever edit with compressed footage, no matter how many people say it works fine for them. They're leading you on, and just trying to trick you into using shitty source footage.

I think the issue to start with is that ogm being the container is probably not as well handled by most kinds of video editors... if i recall correctly, there's ogm rippers out there to extract the video file inside... or use VirtualDub and export to something editable...

Listen.

To get the sources open the file with virdub. Then you deactivate the streams you don't need and do a direct-stream copy. now you ought to have the file as an avi data without loss of quality.
