Although I can barely stand the english dub because of the name changes, I hope that at least they use the "classic" version of the video. The "tricked out" version of the video is utter trash. But I'd be really surprised if they did air it in the US. The video quality of the First Stage is pretty crap to today's standards, especially when they mix the 2D and CGI parts.

But then again, they are airing the original EVA video...

The thing is that the "classic" version only exist in sub-only format; Tokyopop didn't bother giving it a faithful dub.

I haven't watched the english dub in years, so my memory is hazy. The name changes and "tricked out" video bothered me enough that I had to burn copies to watch that didn't have either on the disc. Plus, the BIGGEST tragedy (and I can't believe that I forgot this) was they CHANGED THE MUSIC! I bought move's first CD BEFORE I even watched the anime, when I found out that they used their music in it I wanted to watch it even more.
