A Wind Named Amnesia: Everyone regresses into their caveman-like selves. What really makes us human? Excellent story.
Fist Of The North Star: Condensing the TV series into a couple hours and adding in actual views of blood spray.

While these are both good movies, they both suffer from one fatal flaw.
In both cases they seemed unsure how to end things, so they have rather anticlimactic feels to them. A Wind Called Amnesia just explains what caused it all at the end but then delivers no resolution (was there more story in the manga, or what) and the FotNS movies end...

Roah: "...Well...since you asked so nicely." *walks away*

Up until that point though, it was prob. one of the best attempts I've seen to condense a massive manga into a movie (plus I still think the 'Heart of Madness' scene where they cut between Ken's arrival and Rei and Raoh fighting was pretty well done.)

Cowboy Bebop Movie: if you have seen the series you should see this.

Voices of a Distant Star: a very deep and emotional movie in just a half hour. A scifi love story over time and space.

The Place Promised in our Early Days: by the same people who did Voices... this is a bit longer and a more involved scifi based plot. A promise and a love lasting through time and adversity. Great stuff

A Tree of Palme: something a little different, with ideas from Pinochio, this is beautiful animation and an involved and interesting story.

Malice@Doll: if you like something really wierd and "Tim Burtonnesque" this all cgi movie is just what you need. very strange story, very strange graphics, I like it.

Well, I watched Spirit Away, Prince of Tennis Futari no Samurai the first game, The Naruto Movie. Spirit Away is a pretty good anime no wonder my friend likes it. It's quite interesting and pretty imaginative. Prince of Tennis the first game is alright. I still like it but the game itself between Ryoga and Ryoma Echizen aren't realistic. I can still see each of their potenial surpassed greatly. The Naruto Movie, it's alright. I can see the shinning determination from Naruto in the movie. Like how he changed the people around him to be more stronger than before [change the way they used to think or do things]. Ex, Neji. Even if the fight is short it's fine. I still like it. It also showed in the movie that no matter what the situation is or no matter how hopless it seems if you continue fighting and eventually you will able to get what you wanted. I'm guessing the reason the fight is so short because the other ice ninjas depend on their sheld far too much to actually strengthen the other prospects.

-Osamu Tezuka's Metropolis
It was based on the Fritz Lang masterpiece - well, a poster of it anyways - and in many ways, surpasses the original. And it has beautiful animation, at many points rivaling Disney quality.

- Macross: Do You Remember Love?
Macross, the way it should have been. The original show was nearly unbearable to watch at times; Robotech: The Macross Saga was a much better retelling; This one, though, redeemed the original Macross for me, and is visually amazing.

- Grave of the Fireflies
What happens when you combine the visual quality of Studio Ghibli and a story as powerful than The Shawshank Redemption and Schindler's List combined? An almost flawless movie that is guaranteed to leave you teary-eyed at the end.

- Castle in the Sky
Spirited Away won for Best Animated Movie, but Castle in the Sky surpasses Spirited Away in both scope and story. One of Miyazaki's classics, it's easily my favorite Miyazaki film ever.

- Princess Mononoke
A close second to, or tied with, Castle in the Sky, this is one of the few Miyazaki films to be rated PG-13, and proves that animation, much less Anime, is an art. A universal story of two groups struggling for survival, the dimensionality of the film is amazing, and the animation is flawless.

- Lupin III: The Castle of Cagliostro
Another Miyazaki masterpiece, it also is hailed as the best Lupin movie of all time, and with good reason. The Japanese James Bond's proudest moment, we get a not-often-seen view of Lupin as a remeniscent, worldly good-guy in the near-twilight of his career. This is the movie that got me hooked on Lupin forever.

- Rurouni Kenshin, the OVA: Reflections
Told through Kaoru's eyes, this recounts everything that happened during and after the television show, through and past the Enishi Arc, and engulfs the viewer into this world. The finale of the film is one of the most powerful, yet simple, scenes ever concieved.

- Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz
One of the best Gundam films ever made, and my personal favorite Gundam show. Endless Waltz has three major things going for it: a strong, solid story, incredible animation, and the coolest Mecha designs ever concieved. I doubt there's an anime fan out there who didn't think "HOLY GOD THAT'S COOL" the first time Zero showed itself.

- Neon Genesis Evangelion, the End of Evangelion
One of the most psychological and disturbing series ever comes to its conclusion in and even more psychological and disturbing film. I'll say this much: the Book of Revelations has NOTHING on this view of the Apocalypse.

- Galaxy Express 999 and Adieu, Galaxy Express 999
From the same universe as Queen Emeraldas and Captain Harlock, Galaxy Express 999 and the sequel Adieu, Galaxy Express 999, represent the Golden Age of Anime in a beautiful and amazing light. True, the animation, by modern, is somewhat lacking, but back when the animation was bad, the stories where amazing, and these are some of the best examples.

- Mezzo Forte (OVA)
The story and animation are so amazing, you completely forget you're wacthing a Hentai. There're only two sex scenes in the entire thing, and you'll actaully skip over them just to get back to the story! The best way to describe the anime: what Japanese Animation would be like if Quentin Tarentino got his hands on it.

- The Animatrix
Okay, the Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions sucked compared to the original, but The Animatrix makes up for that ten-fold. Combine about a dozen of the world's best animators with the enigmatic world of The Matrix, and what do you get? An icon for our generation.

- Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust
What Van Hellsing should have been. Animation to make you wet yourself, and one of the darkest, yet most beautiful stories you've ever seen; amazing action sequences aside, it has an underlying motif of people wanting nothing more than peace and acceptance. Far better than the 80's original.

Cowboy BeBop movie was pretty awsome.
Spirited Away was good. I only saw some of it though.
Evangelion : Death & Rebirth is mostly a recap of the whole series with a lot of added stuff.
Evangelion : End of Evangelion all I have to say about this movie is WoW. but watch the whole series first before watching this.
DBZ movie with brawley was insane.

Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, i didn't like Castle In The Sky though...the first Broly movie and Reburth of Fusion(i have yet to see these in english) i absolutely loved Perfect Blue(it kept me guessing through the whole movie) and the Cowboy Bebop movie was good too.

I think the best i have seen is The Cowboy Bebop Movie. Not because of the story line. It was because of the authenticness of it just watch it and you will see what iam talking about
