After some looking, we've found the amv user id and yahoo email address of the thief.

Everyone watch out for SAFFIRE7520 on a-m-v.org, she's the thief. Someone should get her kicked off.

If you flood the message board with criticisms SAFFIRE7520 may have trouble deleting them all.

So I'm not the only one! It sucks cause I have my bumpers on the videos.. but now there's like 5 people posting the same video.. clearly they're all Good Luck Studios! Then you have the cases where they just butcher the video all together & set it to different music :/

So far I found that all my Gravition videos, my Kingdom Hearts & my Escaflowne video are all being "created by" 20+ people :/

It's pretty easy to tell what Gravi videos have my footage.. what with the watermark in the corner & the black line at the top if the watermark is absent. Seriously search for "gravitation amv" & I guarantee a good amount of those videos are just mine but butchered to the extreme.

I just started out making AMVs and I already know the hard work and dedication we put into making them, only to be stolen by others. Not only that, they also take all the credits. The "girl" that posted the videos already deleted some of my pcomments there.

The only problem is I really don't want any of my videos on YouTube. I see it as a way of opening yourself for greater liability. The only place I really want my videos is a-m-v.org and my own domain. a-m-v.org is huge, but it's also not a mainstream site. With the exception of a few incidents that occured recently, it's pretty much out of the majority of the public eye. While anime companies embrace AMV's, most music artists do not. And with the growing popularity of YouTube, I can only imagine eventually the RIAA and the MPAA (for those of us who make non-anime music videos as well), as well as artists individual lawyer-type people, will start to patrol the site to make sure that there is no illegal use of their music and film. And as long as you have proof you are a copyright holder, it just takes one small click underneath someone's video to alert the authorities. Thats why I don't want my videos on a mainstream site such as YouTube.

To be honest, I think that YouTube should ban the uploading of all music videos, as a way to protect themselves and their users.

When I think about it, you're right, maybe they should just not allow uploads of music videos.
