Who cares the Ying Yang Twins suck anyways. If you want real, good, and authentic rap listen to the old school to mid-school, such as Das EFX, 2Pac, younger snoop dogg, Rakim, Public Enemy, Digital Underground, NWA, D.O.C., EPMD. There is a list of amazing real rap, not this pop music they pretend is rap these days talking about hoes, rims, cash. I know this isn't a rap forum, but I thought that should be said. The only good rap is the original rap. No Nelly or G-unit or ying yang or lil john, who might I add is a wanna be rip of Ol' Dirty Bastard. Just needed to say that.megaman917 wrote:It's Ying Yang Twins featuring PitbullKirara_Kitty wrote:I like some rap and hip hop as long as it doesn't get too intense....if you know what I mean. One song that I'm really stuck on right now is Shake by Pitbull and the Ying Yang Twins, (I think they are featured in it) I'd love to see a vid to that song!:D
The original is in the Ying Yang Twins' album, the remix is on Pitbull's album.

Re: slap
Wow that is the biggest amount of bull ever. Koyashed is completely right. I mean how can you say eminem is different in all respects of rap. I mean lets look at Eric B and Rakim, legendary for lyrics alone and ya some violence is incorporated into all rap, but mainly rapped about common every day things. Ya there are some violent rap artists, NWA, Ice T, 2Pac, but with it comes reasoning. You want to talk about eminem being a good hearted person when he raps about killing his wife, and making fun of a large percentage of minorities. He is just like every other average rapper, makes some violent songs and so sensitive songs, but I would never consider him even in the top 20 most influential rappers of all time and I'm willing to make a list of them too. As Koyashed said, Ignorance.Yunacat wrote:What ignorance? I'm similar. I hate most rap because it's useless, repetitive, and is always talking about sex and girls! > <Koyashed wrote:Ignorance amazes me...angellacs wrote:the only AMVs with rap that i download is eminem. i dont really like rap.
But Eminem is different. His music has to do with life and family, even if it is the bad sides, and usually of other things. Not saying i like all of his either, but still. Oh, and some of his are funny too.^^ (his is one of the VERY few that doesn't annoy me into a headache too..)

How ever I would say a lot of the modern day rap is very repetative, degrading, violent without reason, and have no respect for what rap really was and I say that cause rap died out in 2000. As soon as this g-unit and 50 cent and lil john crap came in, its been all the same. This isn't ignorance since I'm a die hardcore fan of rap, and I know that this new stuff isn't rap its pop. The G-funk era is long over now along with any traces of real rap. Sorry I had to get that off my chest.

I like that point about eminem before 2000 lol. Ya I agree that rap has died in a slow way, but what I mean by 2000 is that the last great artists that make good albums stopped coming out. I mean there are still good goups and rappers still making stuff that are good, but the last time I found a good rapper was before 2000. Today the only rap I find entertaining and meaningful to listen to is Canadian rap. To me they are the only rappers left who have talent. They aren't rapping about how much you paid for your grill or whatever the fuck crunk juice is. Its fucking stupid now and a shame that rap doesn't exist anymoreScarface wrote:Rap died once it became hip-hop

it was a slow proccess but the year rap died is a lot before 2000 in my opinion
eminem existed before 2000! :\

i personally don't mind...besides the fact that idiotic people think i listen to G-unit because i like listening to rap
G-unit are talentless bitchs who ride on eminem\50 cents success :\
and the only reason eminem and 50 cent succeded was because of a former NWA member(Dr. Dre)

From 2 Pac - Changesit takes skill to be real, time to heal each other
And although it seems heaven sent
We ain't ready, to see a black President, uhh
It ain't a secret don't conceal the fact
the penitentiary's packed, and it's filled with blacks
But some things will never change
From 2 Pac - Baby Don't CryForget him girl (forget him girl) he ain't gon' never change
I ain't no hater but that nigga lost in the game
After the bright lights and big thangs
he probably could love you, but he in love with the struggle
Everyday, his mind on gettin mo' (gettin mo')
and never your feelings, he's chasin millions fo' sho'
From NWA - Fuck Tha PoliceFuck tha police
Comin straight from the underground
Young nigga got it bad cuz I'm brown
And not the other color so police think
They have the authority to kill a minority
which is basically a nihilistic anthem...
the lyrics here explain the reason behind teh nihilism
