Berzerk - Gaaaaah! I know the show was cancelled.. but seriously ending with everybody dead, the girl being raped for eternity, and the main character stuck in hell is not a 'feel good ending'.

Escaflowne - "no I don't want to be a queen in a country where everyone will worship me. I want to go back to Japan and finish High School. ". "I'll call you".

Initial D (live action) - I just finished it so I'm adding it. Aaagh! Damm, wasn't she just the cutest girl on the whole planet? Also whats up with watching guys look like they are falling asleep during a race? I seriously hated the way they just dropped the girl.

Inuyasha - Closure people... closure. Pretty much every single thing in the show got no closure. Too many super powerful characters with nowhere to go.

Naruto - Cripes... just finish something already.

There are more but I'll leave the field open for others
good man! [salute]

Evangelion! Yay, everyone becomes Tang!!! At least, we all get to be 'inside Rei so to speak...

Saikano! Yay, everyone dies! So much for character development! lol They developed into nothing! muahahaha

Gunslinger Girl! [wait a second, that ending was good... A bunch of jailbait singing a Japanese version of European music is cool actually  ]

DBZ! Ending? Who needs an ending when you have MANLY MAN MUSCLES!

Inu Yasha! Yeah, who needs an ending here too huh?

Cowboy Bebop! Well, I think the best way to end a tragic series would be to destroy the hero's life, but hey, I dont' like that route all that well. I say the hero should hump the woman and make her his wife... [ala Please Teacher... muahahahahha]

I don't mind tragedy THAT much but some of it can be pretty ridiculous...
"Strength lies in action. Let the weak react to me..." - Kamahl, Pit Fighter from Magic: the Gathering
"That is a mistake many of my enemies make. They think before they act. I act before I think!" - Vortigern from Merlin ('98)
"I AM REBORN!" - Dark Schneider Bastard!! OAV

To this day, one of the endings which never ceases to bug me:

Gundam 0083: Stardust Memories
"Yeah...remember that mobile suit that nuked the fleet? Those Gundams half the EF fleet saw battling it out? ... Never existed...
That's right...if we do this, our retcon can't be contradicted! Victory is ours!"

Likewise, Gundam SEED DESTINY's ending fell flatter than Wile E Coyote (...and this is even AFTER watching Final Plus. Ten extra minutes and they still couldn't make a finale...instead, said ten minutes were used to do the same things many fans felt weakened D in the first place:
-More blatant favoritism of Kira and Lacus (you ask the majority of the SEED fans their take on this show, a lot of people will tell you it took a downturn when Shinn got pushed off to the side to let Kira have the spotlight.)
and
-Morosawa's making inexplicable character changes with no explanation (...no matter how you slice it, trying to pair up Athrun and Meyrin when they had barely had much screentime together was just a REALLY crappy move on her part...made even worse by her half-assed explanation for why she felt Athrun and Cagalli would never work ("If Athrun was a leader as well, it'd work" ...riiiight)

Macross II: Lovers Again - Picture the end of 'Do You Remember Love?' ...now picture it with a much less likable cast...a less-than-memorable piece of music, and overall, a very half-hearted final battle that comes after about 5.5 eps worth of UN Spacy getting bent over and sodomized... ...that's about the end of MII right there.

As for Berserk's finale...well...the manga should be (if it isn't already) coming up on the Eclipse story arc any time now...so soon there will be closure (...of a sort.)

and in regards to Bebop...I liked Watanabe's explanation for why he ended it that way he did:
If he didn't kill Spike, people would keep pushing him to make a sequel he didn't want to do...
...not that that stopped people anyways...but at least now he's got an escape route.

I really didn't like how abruptly Gundam SEED and Gundam SEED Destiny ended without giving much closure.

Major battle is over---> War is over ---> Show is over
"Wait a minute. There were actual characters in that show. I'd like to know what's going to happen to them now."
...................
(roll ending credits)
Final Doom "Amazing things will happen here soon."

Neon Genesis Evangelion: Substance "Everyone knows that it's a dangerous substance."

When I first started watching anime, i hated it because the endings all sucked to me, but now its hard for me to get angry at a anime's ending........ever.

You know... more happens after that in the manga...

Oh, and the ending to Chrno Crusade pwns all sad endings! Not only was it sad, but it made you question why you watched the show in the first place! ARGH! It ruined the whole show for me!

Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien

I mean I want a manga or something that jumps off where the anime ended. I think there is a spin off of the show but I don't know if that takes place after the events that happened.

Yeah, but I didn't get the series "season 1" just to find out that I'd also have to search for some esoteric manga volumes, either in Japanese, or at 10.00 a pop just to find out what happens.

How about Tenjho Tenge? All that build up and.... what?

Since when does anime end with a big BANG? Anime tends to suck with endings.. though RahXephon had an ending I liked.. and what else??? Damn can't think of any.

ROFL

Mai-Hime: EVERY ONE DIES!!!! Oh wait... no they don't... Except Mikoto... but wait... shes alive too. Ok no one dies. Except the little blond haired girl... who is actually alive still too. even after getting frozen in an ice-pillar under the lake.
oh and lets not forget her robot companion.... Yggdrasil unit... forget her actual name, she was suposed to be gone with the girl, but guess what, she lives too.
So much for all the well acted drama and ultra sad goodbyes during the show that was done so well it could almost make a man cry ;p Gottta admit the directors were pretty evil messing with your emotions like that though ;p Aside from the fact that it got so rediculous towards the end with all the death that I started to expect that theyd all come back before it actually happened anyway.
