The Movie will be out on the 3rd, same time as the last volume.
Now for something new i thought of that kept me busy for a while.
Now, if im right on this, Scar's brother turned the surrounding Ishbalins into a incomplete Philosopher Stone and gave that arm to Scar right? You'd think it were solar power the way he constantly uses it.
Alphonse on the other hand, has an even larger complete stone within himself but uses it one time and get maimed. What the hells up with that?

I heard about that too. It's such a long wait, but at least we don't have to wait AFTER the series has ended it's DVD run..^^angelx03 wrote:From AnimeOnDVD:
What that means is that FUNi is releasing the last FMA DVD volume and the movie at the same day.UNimation Talks FMA (07:28 PM EST): In an interesting bit of news with the posting of the movie's release date being October 3rd, FUNimation's Lance Heiskell has posted to the forums that the 13th and final TV series release will come out on the same day. Going be release dates so far, 11 will street in August, 12 in September and 13 in October, pushing the show to a roughly monthly release format for the final three volumes and getting the movie right at the end with no wait. Now that's fan service.

It would also explain why she might be a little messed up. People get really messed up after something like that happens.
As for your question.
It would probably have to do with the number of humans used in either transmutation. Scar's brother only had a few to perform the transmutation on. Scar however had apparently used 7,000 soilders in the making of the philosipher's stone that's in Al.

1st: Rose seemed alittle better when she parted with Ed outside Lior, now shes worst than ever.
2nd: the comparison is how Scar seems to have unlimited power while Al is limited....
But i guess his works differently, since killing a soldier with direct contact kinda like "adds" more energy to it.

About Scar and Al's difference about the PS, Al had his transmuted under a different circle than Scar's arm, didn't he? That could be one explaination, but think that it had to do with when Marco threw that Crimson Stone into Scar's hand earlier on..though idk... Either that, or Al's seems limited because he used it to bring back a human..something forbidden in Alchemy, so it effected him, rather than just sending out a pulse of energy to destroy something like Scar did...

I think you guys are looking at it from a bit of the wrong perspective.
Scar's brother absorbed the dying ishbalans and began to form the philosopher's stone within himself. He passed that to Scar. However, the "Incomplete Stone" within them was never used by either brother. They did use alchemy, yes, but they didn't use the power of the stone, there was no breaking of the laws. Scar broke down matter without reforming it, still keeping equivalency though. Those that he killed were then absorbed into the stone as well. The stone COULDN'T be used in that form until it was completed within Al. Then, since the actual power was utilized to resurrect Nina's body part of the stone (Al's body) was lost.
In short, Scar and his brother were simply using regular alchemy without the power of the stone.
