Finished the Greatest Day/A-D clip and sent it just now via yousendit. I'd like to work on another submission but I've no idea what (well, I have so-ome ideas but nothing concrete yet) and I'll be gone on business travel next week so hopefully will be able to confirm something by the 26th.

Also, when I started on my clip, I got inspired to do a longer amv (not much longer, almost two minutes - a shortie) which I hope to post in a few days. The clip I've submitted for this project does differ a little from the scene in the amv.

If you have a problem with this, please let me know, and I won't post the amv here until after the summer project is completed.

I would rather have you release them after the project is done to keep the masses from knowing exactly what is going on,. But if you feel the urgent need to put it out im not gonna stop you

Fan Service is basically anime T&A. Boobie shots, panty shots, long lingering shots of the female form, female charaters in underwear, hot springs / bath episodes, etc. A lot of times it is just a tease and sometimes it involves nudity, but there are exceptions (Full Metal Panic? FUMOFFU's hot springs episode, for example).

Some anime that have, or are primarily about, fan service:
- Mahoromatic
- Hand Maid May
- Najica Blitz Tactics (athough, the panty shots got old fast)
- Love Hina
- Goldenboy
- and most harem type shows

For examples (and a good listing of fan-service anime), I recommend viewing Zarxrax's The Fanservice Video: Bouncing Back For More and Doujin Addiction.

No prob, I'm not in a rush to post it. Thx. Also, if I may, I'd like to submit a second clip using Summer Wind by Frank Sinatra. Since Fumoffu is already being used, I'm going to go through my anime collection to see what I can use with this. I'll let you know when I get back from my business trip next week.

That's an example of fan service of which most people are familiar with (and not to mention a very common one).

The concept of fan service is what the term means; the story adds something that practically does nothing to advance the plot; it just pleases the fans. Take Initial D for example. A bunch of guys standing around, and they sprout around car specs at each other. Anyone who are a fan of cars who hear this will obviously go giddy because they know what they're talking about. I recall making a vid last ngith, no idea how it turned out, i think it was the FLCL summertime vid.. i dont know where i exported it, or if i even saved it... um.. i think i remember making it though, so go ahead and put that mine is atleast 75% complete... i just have to figure out what happened to it, and where it went...
