Every now and then an ep will end and I'll look back and wonder how they got so much storyline into one ep.

Well....The enemies have been toppled, friends and allies have been buried, the search for the things lost has finally come to an end(for now), and even this thread may be over with until the movie starts, come October 3rd.

So my question to all of you who just saw it tonite is....What did you think of the ending?
My Opinion wrote:I liked it, wasn't all sad but wasn't too mushy, everyone seemed to turn out considerably good given the circumstances. My sister on the other hand thought it was messed up that they aren't together.
But two things that get to me are.

1. Al's memories are one thing, but shouldn't he be his right age?
2. why didn't Wrath grow new limbs, or at least heal up from his burns like the others since he ate a bunch of stones?

The burns were his own doing because of when he fused with Sloth so that's a strange circumstance. As well, "his" arm and leg were never truly that of a homunculi once he left the gate so another strange circumstance.

Al's body did not age within the gate.

I can't wait for the movie. I read some spoilers on the end episodes which I wish I hadn't before so I'm not reading any spoilers or watching the crappy fansubs of the movie. I'll wait till the DVD comes out and I can watch it dubbed or in official subs. The series ends pretty well. Leaves it open to the movie (maybe more) but wraps up the ongoing storyline pretty well.

I really enjoyed the ending to fullmetal alchemist. They deifnately left the end open for the movie and having the good guys live made it nice despite their seperation. I think it's fitting considering the way the show is in general.

The major historical references are nice to hear.

I really enjoyed this anime by it's storyline. But the ending (both TV and movie) really pissed me off! They could have done much better and meaningful endings!

OK...here's a question I just realized watching last night I'm curious to hear your feedback on...

...how in the Hell did Archer survive Lior?
Spoiler :
When Scar transfigured Al, he took Archer's left side with him. Basic anatomy suggests that meant it would have taken out his heart with it, killing him then and there. Did I miss something or what? How was he still going?

Well shit! half his brain was gone too and he lived through that, Izumi has no intestines and manages ok and Kimbley lived for a few while having a gaping hole in his chest, AND Scar should be blind after having his damn face blown out like that, what i cant understand is, how Riza killed Fullmetal Archer, after the first shot the others sounded like metal hits.
But seriously, maybe Archer has a messed up heart, which is the reason he's so pale.

Actually anatomy denotes that the heart is more towards the center of the chest. It is also possible to live with merely half a heart.

The way rize could kill Archer? As you could tell he was bleeding even after his battle with izumi. Most likely he fainted because of loss of blood.

The other thing with archer, even with half of his insides missing he could still techincally live.
