Well this is just gonna have to be more nothing more then a myth for the time being until it is proven or busted. Maybe we can get the mythbusters to do it.

Well pretty much everything else is concrete evidence.

Okay I got some new info about what the eva were molded after.
Its not demons or barons or devils.

They are actually molded after the babbalylonian gods.

You can find that info right in the english commentary of death and rebirth.

Well they were still molded after religious figures other then adam the first angel.

Just to put my two cents in. Could it be that the four evas (00, 01,02,03) are the four hoursemen in Revelations?

I know they aren't, it just popped into my head.

An interesting note that I learned from Matt Greenfield at Anime Detour, The oganization NERV was modeled after a terrorist organization in Japan. I don't remember the name of the group, but they did set off some nerve gas in the subways. Their goal was to use terrorist acts to get countries to start world war 3, their people would stay in underground bunkers until it was over and emerge to remake the world. This is what the creator modled NERV after, nerve gas ( the name), underground bunkers, a plot to remake mankind.

Matt said the EVA story is like a Rorschach test, everyone sees it a little differently each time they veiw it.

I also didn't realize that the whole story, up to episode 24 is a flashback, it is what has happened to Shinji, or is some of it just his imagination? Matt worked very hard to convey the meaning from the Japanese to the english translation. He said there were many places that the Japanese may have several meanings and it is hard to get all those meanings into the english. There were so many things I learned from him that I can't remember half of it. My son says a lot of it is in the commentaries in the platinum edition.

also the pic doesnt show the sword but you can see where the sword was by the gash in his right chest cavity.

Source? This sounds oddly similar to what Charles Manson and his 'family' were getting at, so I'm wondering if someone tried to adopt that story to a Japanese mode here or whether (God help us) there'd actually be someone else who thought like that (granted, Manson's vision was less nations slugging it out as races...most notably, he was trying to spur the blacks to rise against the white man, and, when the time came, he and his followers would emerge to 'retake' the world from the blacks.)

I wish I could remember names. I can't remember the terrorist group's name. They made big news when they used nerve gas in a subway, I believe it was in Tokyo. It must be about twenty years ago. Matt had all the names and dates, he must have unlimited memory. I do remember seeing this on the news and reading about it in the papers when it happened. You could probably find info somewhere on the internet.
