Seeing the most of Gendo

I'm new to Evangelion, and to be frank it's as boring as hell and I don't want to sit through it all.

I've seen most of the series when it come son Cartoon Network, though, and throughout the whole thing, Gendo just stands or sits, and talks sometimes.

I am interested in Gendo's character profiling, though. I happen to like Gendo. Sue me. XP

So I'd like to know what episodes Gendo actually DOES something.

I know there's the time he saves Rei, which is sometime in the beginning, but what else does he do aside from sit and stand and talk?

I have EoE, Death and Rebirth, and Platinum DVD Vol. 7.

Yeah, I know. For someone who hates Evangelion, I sure did buy a lot of crap. I haven't watched any of them, though. I'm just interested in seeing what sort of AMVs I can create it with it. (Yeah I want to make a Gendo profile AMV. Steal and I will hate you.)

So, what can I use of Gendo in the stuff I have?
And am I missing something important that Gendo does outside of the stuff I have?

I forget which episode it was, but there is the episode (shortly after Asuka came into the picture) where NERV had lost its electric power due to an angel attack and everyone had do thing manually.

Shortly after that, there's the episode where Gendo goes to the South Pole, and compliment Shinji by the end of the episode.

The episode where Kaji gets killed, we see Gendo's past.

Then there's End Of Evangelion.

Also ep 19, we see him getting splatered with blood from the eva.

yeah when he go tsplattered with th eblood.. That man had no fear at all didnt even react to it really. I guess when you have no reason to live.. you kind of get dull like that.

While not much visually, there's always the infamous EVA-03 episode, where he orders the dummy plug used after he gets tired of Shinji's refusing to fight back.

I think his blankness is a major part of his character, really.

This sounds like a MEP idea - randomly assign people to characters they know nothing about to make character profile videos based on clips taken out of context.

There's also the whole shooting Ritsuko thing. That was late in the series, but I don't remember where exactly.

She then replys you liar, then he shoots her.
