End of Eva & MGS 2 endings ?

I never really thought about the connection between Seele and the Patriots before. It seems obvious now.

Reading is how I found out in an interview that Kojima is a big fan of EVA. He said that Japan has something of an obsession with robots dating back to Astro Boy.

I think I may have said it was in the wrong magazine though. Anybody know the article? If we could point to it as a reference it would be something of a proof of influence.

His other big influence is American action movies. Snake is based on Kurt Russel in Escape from New York.

Foucusing on hideo kajima and his work.
He quoted that comment about his love for giant mechs and robots. Thus metal gear was born.

we all know about vamp in the background during that scene right? personally i've never seen him although i did see a freeze frame photo on the net but it still didn't look like vamp to me.

Then he turned up in early promo stuff for MGS3, so I guess he does survive a hell of a lot of punishment.

yep knew about the pliskin reference, can anyone tell me where the iricoy (had no chance of spelling that) part of Snake's alias comes from? they explain the surname in great detail but seem to think the first name is pretty obvious, maybe i'm socially retarded but i just don't get it.

if im not mistaking.... iruquoi... is used because snake had some indian in him as well as japanese or something.

Say what? Dude, i've played through the ENTIRE MGS Seris from start to finish and i've never once noticed a similarity between that and EVA, other than the Bio-mech Metal Gear & the Bio-mech Eva. I know as well as i'm sure all MGS fans out theres Kojima is probibly insane...probibly isn't even the word, he IS insane but still. the endings of the two are in no way no how related or similar...even if theres some influence to be taken from the EVA's when designing a Metal Gear itself.

I honestly think that he stumbled upon something eintirely to true when Raiden, Otocon, and Snake brought up the Patriots....Think about everything they say in Sons of Liberty & Snake Eater. It realy makes a lot of sense. and no. I'm not just takeing a videogame WAY to seriously..heh

To do this though, you must first unerstand what is going on, on outside world before discovering what goes on inside the minds of sertain people, or others. If you all ignore the back story with Raiden's past, and the fake rose B.S. you can get to the real story. which by now if you've played it enough times, you know that it's realy all about the yaoi relationship between Snake & Otocon J/k

Yes. He did sleep with her.How else could she be carrying his offspring...Look at the charicter art for Gun of the Patriots Raiden (Jack as most know him, reference to Snake Eater leading me to beleve Raiden in fact is a clone of Solid Snake, but that's another fo forum for another time.) is holding a baby in one arm, and an M4 in the other. HIS baby, His & Rose.

I thank you for responding in kind with that. But I mst point out one thing. there has been no mention of Raiden & Roses child being in the game. Maybe I could be wrong (and probibly am) but with all i've seen, and all more than likely any of us have seen, Raiden is just going to pop in an out of the game, and not be a very essential point, but this is getting way off topic on a tpic that's already been put to rest.
