If I can remember correctly, it was Traces Of Insanity back in 2001, but probably the first that really mattered was Maboroshi's Information High/Macross Plus video at the beginning of summer 2002, or NeoGohan's The Thing I Hate or Trial Of Fire, from around the same time.

Venus in a Bottle! That brings back a memory or two... though it has imediately fallen into the realm of mediocre for me now. It was probably one of the first with any "significant" amount of special effects that I saw.
