using special affects on amv's
its kinda weird that i have windows movie maker one and still yet i want part 2 where you get to add special effects and creat your titles and all. But i hardly see any of the amv's that use the effects or the transition options. Is it because that it does not look good on amv's.
almost dead to the world, i see bloodstains in my hand, this is where i walk away from it all.

You know what, demonblacksky? You seem to be asking a lot of AMV-related questions lately.
The effects that's included in WMM aren't too bad, though I have to question why a lot of the transitions are even included (we not only get a star wipe, but SIX simultaneous star wipes). I mean, what's the point of these hideous tacky transitions?!!
Working with text is another issue since you're pretty much limited on the vertical arrangement of it and the effects that goes with it. And also you can't really specialize the specific font size on it; you pretty much have to do it by eye.
Of course, in reality, WMM is not really used as a professional editing program since mostly made for the common person. So they may take a liking of these than some of the serious editors.

Quite seriously, in my opinion, and it's probably the case, but Windows Movie Maker is made for the the guy making his home movie, where star wipes and barn door transitions will enthrall the little kiddies and old grannies... it makes the little tyke in the stage in his school play look like the star of the show.
Generally design to be fun. I think that is the key point there.

Download? Shame on you guy... buy the program... we don't tell people here to download anything.
Anyway, personally, when I was editing with Windows Movie Maker, I found that the sp2 version was very limiting, in terms of encoding options and the small number of effects and such added wasn't enough to justify the over-simplification that they made, so my recommendation is, stick with the sp1 version if WMM is still what you be aiming for.
