The tip off was the switch of Hiei and Kurama's names. That's the hallmark if you will of the Hong Kong sub of YYH. I don't think any other sub has that peculiarity.
I think you'll find the official American release to have better visual quality, too, but don't quote me on that. (I've only seen a little bit of the HK sub and it was on VHS, so who knows.)

Hey! You guys miss me? Heh.
Not much I can contribute to the current discussion, as I am poor (read: flat broke) and can't afford to buy ANYTHING, good quality or not.
However, I will say one thing: KuwaHara. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! That's too funny.

You're not the only one who's flat broke. *points at self* The only reason I know about the Hong Kong sub is because someone I met through a campus anime club had a set.
By the by, my little sisters have gotten it into their heads that there are great hints in the last episode that indicate Sizuru and Kurama are a couple. I don't know about that, but it does seem to me that Sizuru may have a crush on him. (Like she could resist?)
Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

2 things.
1. "Shizuru" correct spelling
2. Hit them.

Oh, don't pick on Brigid-chan. Though I do agree about the hitting part. I want to hit my little sister all the time...must be because she's 12 and I'm 19...and I have to fulfill my role as the big sister...
I just watched the last episode (I TiVoed it) and I gotta say, there were definitely some heavy signs for the whole Shiziru x Kurama thing.
Also, if anybody still cares about the juvenile efforts of a struggling authoress, I may post a new YYH fic on Fanart Central sometime soon. It's called 'Almost Normal.' Keep an eye out for it, and tell me what you think when (if) I do post it.
Ja ne for now.

Ugh...you watch YYH on CN? I feel really sorry for you? You're getting about 2/3 of content cut. >_>

1: Thanks. ^^;
2: They'd kill me.
Besides, it's not that I have anything against the coupling, I just think a KuramaxBotan couple is more likely. Actually, it could make an interesting love-triangle fanfic.

It's so funny how many people like both of them. (Myself included. ) They are very similar, and yet very different. Kurama plays practical jokes and has a definite sense of humor. Hiei seems to be limited to insulting people (mostly Kuwabara).
Kurama examines his opponent's moves carefully and only attacks after he's formulated a plan. Hiei formulates a plan while he's attacking, and could probably care less about his opponent's motives.
The list could go on forever.
So I guess it all comes down to whether you're in the mood for a gentleman or an angsty bad-boy.
