The ending of the FMA movie (spoilers!)

I don't know... I liked the ending of the movie. Albeit, it wasn't "oh, look, happy Hollywood ending." The TV show's end was powerful, and the movie's ending was powerful.

I think the only thing people don't like about it is the fact that it isn't playing into the "all's well that ends well" ideas that people had wanted to see. Trust me, I was disappointed that certain things didn't happen (E/W), but I admit, it fit perfectly with the show's ending. The show was much more of a tragedy than the manga, and the movie followed suit.

True.. One of the things i really didn't like was that what happens to Roy next was never told, and he was one of the slightly main characters.. @_@ I also didn't like that Winry ended up alone while the brothers got to stay together. It just didn't seem fair. But it's true that the FMA TV series/Movie could do anything unexpected, even unliked, and it's alot different than other series because of that. Like..in the case of Maes Hughes. He seemed like one of the main characters, but then he got killed. So yeah.

And yes, definately, the anime seems way more dramatic than the manga, but the manga has a bit more comedy, which i like too, so i like them both.

On DVD. (though some people have downloaded it and there's crappy versions on Youtube ( i only know that because i put some of my AMVs there.. > > )) My friend got the special with all the lil extra stuff ( i want it!! > < ) and let me borrow the DVD to watch ( it has subtitles, unlike the normal edition. )

I bought the movie on DVD from eBay. The dubbed movie is supposed to come out in October I think. I just read chapter 58 of the manga and it's so funny! If you haven't read the manga, you need to! Plus it has more about Riza ^__^ (Riza ROCKS!!)

If you really want to see what happened to Edward, you need to see the "Children" segment of the OVA. That is the one that tells the tale.
