This thread has reminded me that I still have yet to watch Tokyo Godfathers. I've had the thing for over a year but I just...keep...forgetting about it.

I have a Super Milk-chan DVD. I am afraid to watch it.

Yes, and the pile is getting larger. Life is complicated and leaves little time for me to watch anime. A year ago I was laid up for eight weeks with a broken ankle and it was a real boon to my anime watching. My son brought a lot home for me to watch and I haven't gotten through all of it yet. My collection gets larger, thanks to ADV and Rightstuf sales, but remains unwatched while I try to finish what my son brought. Also, my wife doesn't like anime so we watch other things on TV at night, mostly history channel or pbs. I have to take her to Wisconsin in a couple weeks, she teaches quilting classes, I'll take my little dvd player and spend some blissful hours watching some of my anime collection. Portable dvd players are one of Gods little gifts to mankind.
Where did you say I'm going?.... And what am I doing in a handbasket?

Oh thank God. I thought I was the only one, and it was some sort of twisted metal problem. I do that all the time- no idea why. But after I saw the inch thick layer of dust, I sold all my DVDs! It was like 300 bucks just waiting to be turned into cash.
Tip- If you buy anime and don't watch it, sell it!

I too have several titles in my collection that I have yet to watch, including Dirty Pair Flash. I tried to watch it but the video quality is soooo poor that I couldn’t get past the first few minuets. I once asked Matt Greenfield why the quality was so low, and he said that the masters they received from Japan were that way, and they were not allowed to clean them up.

But probably the strangest story I have for not watching an anime that I own is Bogiepop Phantom. I have spent many cons in the company of Jeff Thompson, one the directors of the English dub of Bogiepop Phantom. This year at Ohayocon after spending nearly three entire days in panels with him I went to the dealer’s room and bought the Bogiepop box set and made it a point to have him autograph it for me. Four days later Jeff died. I just haven’t been able to bring myself to watch it, and I imagine it will be a long time before I will be able to…

Yeah, I'd say I have maybe 20 anime DVDs that are unwatched for various reasons, and about half that many live action movies.

Planning on taking on a whole chunk of that queue once graduation comes...

Yeah, I do that sometimes. I have Kiki's Delivery Service, but I can't be bothered to configure the DVD player and watch it. I'm just too lazy =P

I still haven't watched my last two Chrono Crusade DVDs I bought over a year ago, but there's a good reason for that :P

On the other hand, I picked up a few Saint Tail, Mini Goddess, Gatekeepers and Snow Fairy Sugar DVDs that were on sale 2 for $12 - and I haven't watched those yet either. Heck, even my third Kenshin boxset hasn't been watched yet.

All in good time, I suppose. Just wait until school is finished
