4kids has reached Puberty

Post by Yok/0 » Thu Apr 20, 2006 1:37 am

Turns out that 4kids has learned it's lesson by going through a series of frames, from calling Rice balls cookies, to trading Pop Guns with Real WMDs when 4kids has decided to start another company called 4sight, which they will claim to have this company focus on the real fans...US.

Well, it isn't all that surprising. I guess they finally realized that the audiences they'd had when they played "kiddified" things are now older, and want more mature things. That, and when they saw the Yu-Gi-Oh! Uncut DVD sales were tripling those of the normal yugioh DVDs, they thought "a-HA!"

Even if they are planning on marketing to older audiances, they could still play like people did in the eighties and just cut stuff up to make new shows. I have a feeling they would still make their own music (cus brining over the original soundtrack is expensive) and use their cast of god awful VA's. This in my opinion is actually a bad thign, cus even though 4kids was the spawn of evil, it was pretty limited to younger shows. Now that there are TWO of them, their possible shows have just gotten wider. Horribly edited shows ahoy!

well either this still could be bad news. This little movement must've been a retaliation from popular animes being taken from bigger companies. But All I gotta say is that they're gonna make Funi look good whent his is all over.

Yeah, i know what you mean! I doubt this is gonna turn out good. > >

( I keep having flashbacks of something from VGCats when i think about this. Ya know, the page they made making fun of 4Kids because it always chops up decent-good shows.. > > )
