The first place is taken by NEMESIES from Resident Evil 3.

Why?: He was the first villian that actually got me terrefied in a game. When ever he showed up I started to hear my heart beating and then I just instinctivly ran and ran and ran untill the spooky music stopped. The fact that I did not have a memmory card might have been som fuel in the fire. Was'nt able to save until I was midway through the Clocktower...

On the second place comes THE NURSES from Silent Hill 3 (is that allowed?).

Why? They are by FAR the creepiest monster I have ever encounterd, whether it is from movie, a game or a book (Exept ofcourse MR Pennywise from Stephen Kings "IT"). Just LOOK at the pic! Add to that a dark coridor with bloodsplatters on the walls, some really disturbing noices and remove the broken spine it looks as if it has. (Try shoot her down and see what happens when she tries to get up again. I could not sleep the night I saw it for the first time. Honestly).

Found a small one from Ingame

On the third place we have Kratos from God Of War.

Why?: Thats simple. He is just so frigging badass that it is not even funny. Specialy in his flashy Tuxeedo.

Agree totaly but he kinda lost his effect in the end when they came like 4 at a time. When he chases you... That was... It was... yes... it was!

Zomg... Love RE 4. But I would have worshiped it if they didnt change the Stage desine to kill of all the backtracking. There is nothing scarier than when you finarly are able to open a new door in a place you have been in 100 times because you found a "rusty key". Or when it suddenly pops up a new monster in a corridor you thought was safe. It adds so mutch to the "exploration" in a game. It allso opens a door to Bigger and more clever puzzles. Unlike in RE4 where you just ran from point A to point B.
Resident evil 4 in the Resident evil 1 mansion would be the killer game of the century!
