This world is truly twisted. I have never understood how wiolence is so accepted and sex is not. If im not totaly of the track "sex" is Giving pleasure to eachother and voilence is giving pain... How can Pleasure be Taboo and pain okay?

I mean... what is more horible... two or more persons enjoying themselves in an intimate way or two or more person spilling eachothers lifesblood?

And now im not even touching the the curses.

Still, a library? I have a hard time believing that anyone could get librarians to go along with any form of censorship. As a good general rule, librarians are more anti-censorship than almost anyone else you'll ever meet (with the possible exception of political dissidents in repressive regimes).

Well, maybe the kid picked up a hentai book by accident but, still pulling all Manga? Thats a freakin load of horse shit. The mother must of found out her kid was a dirty perv but, like Kyle's mom from South Park, blamed something else. I think they just jumped to a conclusions about Manga. People like them is whats making America into Tight-Wad pricks about everything. But, still the library should have been more careful with thier content, like to seperate the manga meant for the kiddies and the ones for the adults. I still disagree with pulling ALL of the manga though.

Yeah, God forbid we start a more romantic influence on ourselves rather than go about shooting and slashing each others throats...

You see naked people on Europe's Public Broadcasts and also Japan. Do you see them blatantly killing each other? [do a check on violent [extreme] crime rates... the older to the more recent ones too]

Sheesh, it's like nudity calms the soul... Give me more of that then gunfire, I'm all for it!

People should keep track of what their own kids are reading. And the kid's 16 years old for gods sake, she should cut the damn umbilical cord.

Again its another situation of "what's appropriate" and what's not. I remember there was complaint when FLCL first aired on U.S. tv and a woman voiced against Eri sucking on a pop sickle saying it was "inappropriate sexual content". I have no clue what is in the book, but its doubtful that its as bad or even what they say it is.

Ban playboy? Sure, but a book on Japanese comics? Its kind of a stretch if you ask me. There's probably worse material down the aisle in the "Tribes of Africa" book.

What is this? One of those magazines with Brittany Spears on the cover saying "Brittany gained 50 pounds!!"

Of course, that was a load of bull or was misinterpreted as the inside of the book said otherwise.

Your topic says "Manga is Pulled From some Libraries!", get scared, click in, read, then I'm led to say "I don't give a f#@$"

Topic was pretty interesting but I thought that manga itself was literally pulled from libraries not some book I never heard of with only 13 copies located nationwide.
