I think it is a great site to post a work in progress since it is free and doesn't polute the AMV FTP site with incomplete rubbish.

Good idea. Especially considering that this pollution is against the rules!

Although for limited beta re-views, free upload sides - e.g. rapidshare, yousendit - might work better.

I usually send betas through AIM... but I've seen a few people who used youtube as beta site...

I like to use it for videos I want to share with my family, like home movies and stuff...

but its also a good advertisement for my AMVs... as I usually try to "link back" to the a-m-v.org profile... though recently youtube has been butchering urls by adding spaces and SOME n00bs cant seem to figure that one out

I also upload my non anime fanvids there incase people want to see them (also offering a download link for those who want it, if i have it available)

If you want to beta an idea in youtube it's fine, but to test synch is a great mistake.

Youtube will delete your amvs if ylou pos them as they have done this to the ones i posted on "Copyright infringement"

they don't delete my stuff on Youtube.

Just about every week one of my vids get a new fan. So I'd have to see the vids you uploaded onto Youtoob to find out why.
