Character development in Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children

Character development wasn't really needed as it was done in the game. The video was marketed towards those that played FF7, so it was assumed everyone knew enough and was ready for eye-candy.

I know it just came out in English a couple days ago but I work part time with Square Enix so I got see it a while ago.

And so did about half the internet...

Actually I had never played the game before seeing the movie and I was able to follow it just fine. You definitely dont have to be familiar with the story to enjoy the movie, although I'm sure it helps. I mean the movie was shown at some major film festivals, like Venice.

Like so many people have said there is a lot of eye candy and thrilling action sequence so you could probably watch it with no sound and still enjoy it. I'm wondering if anyone has seen the English version? What did you think of the American voices?

I personally feel that they should make a movie (no need for character development) where it stars tifa and only tifa, fighting the bad guys and just bouncing around... that would be awsome.

So can they make one for girls just having shirtless bishounen figthing each other? That'd rawk.

Lance Bass was the voice of Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts. So the concept is already a reality.

It was more like regression. I mean Tifa's breasts did get smaller.

She had her Mako implants removed.

It's actually because her other size was unrealistic, and this is a realistic movie, so of course they aren't as big.. > >

The voice of Sepiroth is actually a man called George Newbern. He did the voice of Sepiroth for Advent Children and Kingdom Hearts 2. He might not sound like a villian because he is also the voice of Superman on Justice League Unlimited. What did you guys think of the other voices or the dubbing in general?
