OMFG!!! An Animal Crossing Movie!

The Sports Hoichi newspaper has reported that Jouji Shimura (Master Keaton, Shin Angyo Onshi, Hanada Shonen Shi) will direct an anime feature film adaptation of Nintendo's game franchise Doubutsu no Mori ("Animal Forest"), known in America as "Animal Crossing." The film is scheduled to open in Japanese theaters this December.

This is one of those kinds of things that are funny you have to see it, I cant wait for the US release. I can only be so lucky that this prompts an AC2 for Revolution.

I don't think anyone over here would show it...maybe direct to dvd...maybe

...why am I getting images of the animal crossing commercial for the DS? (just in a setting more like in M.Night Shymalan's the village)

iv'e sometimes wondered what it would be like, it's probably gonna be digital animation or straight CG like that show that used to come on CN in the morning where every had big block shaped heads.
