To me, its simple, but then again when I started using Premiere I already knew what an Adobe interface looked like.

I didn't. And I jumped straight up from WMM2. the guide has absolutely nothing that isn't strictly basic, but it has what you need to feel comfortable with Premiere. The rest, you learn along the way.
