To me, its simple, but then again when I started using Premiere I already knew what an Adobe interface looked like.

I didn't. And I jumped straight up from WMM2. Sure it was a shock when I first looked at it, but if you take thirty minutes to play around with it (or five minutes with a beginner's tutorial) it becomes rather simple.

the guide has absolutely nothing that isn't strictly basic, but it has what you need to feel comfortable with Premiere. The rest, you learn along the way.
