I think there's more than one way of having a favorite editor.

Kamoc would have to be on my list as a sort of cult figure. He's the kind of editor whose books I'd buy, whose T-shirts I'd wear and whose flag I'd put in my yard. And some other crap like that. I haven't even seen his videos in months but damn, they were good videos.

For Beo and Wonka - I always hate their videos when I first see them, and then I really like them. They at least deserve a gold star for actually making me feel such strong contradictions and kicking ass of sorts.

Bakadeshi is a master of polish and style, within the context of AMVs as fanworks. I love watching his videos get sharper and more perfecter as he goes on. I wouldn't ascribe him the title of either the most technical or the most stylish, but he has a good combination of these and it's always a pleasure to follow his work, as I did since the Animasia development days. He has a good attitude to his activity, and his videos are really just good fanworks as such.

Jasper-Isis (ok, jasper-isis) is an example of how to like an editor in context and outside of it. Her videos are very well-balanced, I think, and she does a lot of different stuff all along the spectrum. She's a very sharp editor and original thinker just in general, but knowing her as a person and watching her videos develop slowly and painfully (as they do) also gives them an interesting dimension for me. A bit longer, and I can start writing about a book about Jasper's editing or something

Tyler is a king of aesthetics. He's no silly technocrat, he really, really knows how to manipulate imagery at breakneck speeds to create great dramatic effects. Contrary to a lot of people, I never thought his ideas were particularly outstanding - but their execution is absolutely without equal.

Interestingly, all of the above I can recognize just by their editing style/approach, and they all definitely have one.

All of my favorite editors are relatively inactive. :? But they'd be Rubyeye, Fluxmeister, and Kamoc.

Warheart (the man can metal), Koop (the man can make a sentimental AMV), Otohiko (the man can metal and be totally insane), Bote (the man can metal), Beowulf (gotta love the antichrist), Castor Troy (the man can do cross over shit), Aqua (the girl can do some fucking hilarious lip synch), and of course, Kevin Caldwell... The man was a god amongst AMV Editors :P

Or does that mean I'm Kevin? :P

Actually, I should tip my hat to Kevin for getting me into AMVs, but I never really warmed up to much of his stuff except "Engel".

My hero is Mr. Kamoc! His video's just make me think untilmyheadcomesoff. And that's one of the most important things to me. besides true powerful Emotion. Which his video's are definatly full of. Truly an inspiration in more then just AMV's.

my favorite editors:

Castor Troy- this guy knows his stuff what can i say. he inspired me to make my own amvs. especially jpop amvs. i dont think i would have ever used jpop songs if not for Castor let alone make any jop vids for YYH.

Arigatomina- I dont think any of my YYH vids wouldnt have been successful if i didnt watch any of her's. I love the overall style of her vids. her vids just rocks.

I already posted here but i felt like I should again o.0

Koop - No surprise here. I see his videos and thats how good I want to be. I probably won't ever be, but anyway.

Jaddziadax - I like her videos. An all around good editor. AND SHE USES SONY VEGAS!

Pwolf - I watched his "Ace Combat" videos. And I was really impressed.

AtomX - I saw his "On My Earth" video and I was amazed. I remember hearing that he was just messing around when he did like the first minute and 1/2 of that video and it was still really good. Plus I like saosin and music similiar to that. Under Oath.
