Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

I can't use bittorrent clients because they won't work with some weird proxy thing my university has set up for their network, so I downloaded the MP4 version. I'm fairly certain I have the latest version of Quicktime (Quicktime 7) and my computer should be able to easily handle the file (AMD Athlon 3200+ processor and 512 MB of RAM), but the file itself seems to be corrupted. The first time I tried to play it, it crashed Quicktime. The second time I tried to play it, it just barely played with very choppy video and distorted sound.

You know, the file you're offering via bittorrent isn't all that big compared to quite a few multi-editor projects that are available for download locally. Would you perhaps consider uploading the bittorrent-distributed version to the local server?

Since you are using Quicktime, I suppose you are using a mac. To the best of my knowledge, Apple has yet to fully support the h.264 spec in their player. Please try VLC player, as is mentioned in the video info page.

No, I'm not using a Mac.

The first time I tried to play the file with VLC, the sound quality was fine, but the video quality was actually worse (jerky video with a pixelated mess washing over it). I downloaded and installed the latest version of VLC, and now it plays fine.
