Rocky Horror Picture Show - Akira

Post by Nya-kun » Mon Jul 03, 2006 11:09 am

My first ever AMV!

If the combination of RHPS and Akira intrigues you, just download it and watch it. I think it's worth it.

No fancy digital effects, just pure editing.

Anime: Akira
Song: "Eddie", Rocky Horror Picture Show
Style: Fun/Parody

Hehe wow :) That was pretty good considering it was your first video. It was clever, simple, and well executed. Thumbs up!

That was pretty good. I was not too sure about the concept before I saw the video but it fit really well and you did a really good job on your scene selection.
Nice job

Thank you! :)

The hardest part was the colonel's lip sync and finding scenes with Kaori longer than a few seconds.

Also the beginning of the song is quite slow, so selecting scenes that wouldn't bore the viewer but fit the lyrics was quite long.

I'm pleased with the way it flows overall. :)

Thanks.

Yes, it's difficult to lipsynch Akira because it's so well animated.

If I remember correctly, they recorded the actors first and animated the lips according to it, not the reverse as is usually the case, hence the detailed lipsynch.

Everyone I showed that video to were doubtful beforehand, because the relation between the two is not obvious, but after watching it, it just clicks.
