Just keep on spouting. Bullshit. You can still edit with WMM and still turn your video into an Avi. I've done it myself, you can use whatever editing program you want. And there's nothing wrong with WMM, it can do the job quite well if you know what you're doing. But if you want a very complex vid, a more advanced program is the way to go. I hate these "DON'T USE IT JDFLSDFJOSF MOGMGLOLOOL" remarks. >_>amcsi wrote: 1) Good Quality: DON'T use windows movie maker. you don't need to be a bitchy critic.

haha i hate wmm but i tell people if they want to use it then its their own issue doesnt mean i have to, and if they can get that pos to work, more power to them...
besides it wasnt WMM that made her footage look crappy, it was using other peoples AMVs (that were probably ripped off of another person's amv before that) and using low quality inuyasha fansubs that did it O.O
and as for the argument over how long you should make your cuts... someone else please watch the vid cause seriously alot of her cuts are actually TOO FAST
haha... make the cuts to the music not at random intervals O.O thats my opinion on that

I can't belive this I have to agree with dokool on this one. Seriously I know creators/ opinionators that have done very few amv's or none at all and have left helpful reviews. These opinionators have probably watched hundreds of amv's. I know a creator that leaves at least 2,000 word opinions and that person has made only a few videos.dokool wrote:A, this is off-topic. This forum is for asking for AMV suggestions or suggesting your own videos that you think should be made.
B, you're wrong - I know plenty of people with few/no videos made who are more qualified to pass judgement than most editors.
C, if you can't take criticism, don't post your videos in a public forum, simple as that.
So if you can't take honest feedback on your work where they break it down and tell you what was good and what could be improved upon then I suggest to improve on your videos so there are less of these comments.
Now if you would like an honest review at anytime pm me here on the forum and I'll give you a breakdown review with explanations on things of why or how they could be improved.

This is crap. First off, there is this thing called grammar. Have you ever heard of such a thing? Second, I would like to state that no, I do not have a single video posted here nor have I posted anything in this forum before. Why does that make my opinion invalid? I have made a film; a real one with actors that was in a festival and everything. Does that give me the right to tell everyone who hasn't that they can have no opinions on film?LilAznBabe13 wrote:hey there. i've been having big problems with critics. and i'm sure some of you do too. i mostly hate the ones who judges others vidz and don't have a vid themselves. i mean come on, if u don't have a vid. u shouldn't be talking. i'm not saying u should like every vid u see. u can hate if u want. but they don't have to be a bitch about it. ok people try real had. and sometime people don't have good equipment. i'm sure all of u would understand that. u can say it was bad but don't make it sould so horrible. that's my suggestion to all the critics here.
While I agree that people do not have to be vicious when making a review, critisisms are important. If you do not know what turns someone off from your video how can you improve? The fact that you're posting on a public forum makes you open for all sorts of responses, I suggest that if you can't grow a thicker skin about it you shouldn't continue posting here. /end rant.

On the subject of amvs.. I don't think anybody is more qualified than any other to pass judgement, (even those who have won more awards, made more videos, have a degree in this field are no more qualified than a regular amv person) aside from obvious technical issues with the video. Everybody sees things differently. |:dokool wrote:B, you're wrong - I know plenty of people with few/no videos made who are more qualified to pass judgement than most editors.

Thats kind of like saying your opinion means nothing more than another guys opinion because everyone has one. Whether someone's opinion is valid or not is a case by case basis depending on about a bajillion things.
