At Anime North this year, there were some guys cosplaying the girls from Wedding Peach. Thankfully (a) I never saw them in person, (b) I have no religious faith to lose.NerdStrudel wrote:all i hate is when dudes dress as girl characters now that and the vise versa are just creeepy

Lol...sad to say, but a lot of girl's do a better job cosplaying as male characters than some guys do (depending on the char of course)
You people are too easily freaked out...guess that's why ya gotta stay inside and work on AMVs instead XD. Um yea...I cosplayed as Gaara from Naruto. Twas fun. I had dry ice and a jug of water inside the gourd for a nice sand simulation.
If it's an anime con, just have fun and go with it.

Yes. Yes indeed. I've seen that. Many, many a time. And there are boys who look better than I do in dresses. It's true. I mean, that's not saying much, but still. ;DGox777 wrote:Lol...sad to say, but a lot of girl's do a better job cosplaying as male characters than some guys do (depending on the char of course)
Here's the thing with girl bishounen cosplayers. Boys cosplaying as bishounen often don't work not because the characters are feminine, necessarily, but because boys generally overestimate their own looks. Hey, skinny horsefaced unshaven stringy-wigged otaku-dudes of the world, let's strike a deal: I won't dress like Lum if you won't dress like Touga. Deal? Deal.
Girls, on the other hand, have aesthetics beaten into them to the point that more of them know whether they're worthy of a character or not. Some don't; more's the pity. But it's less common than the pimply-assed 14-year-old Vash types.
End FTM crossplay rant.

If the character is normal looking with clothes most won't know, but I agree on Halloween you can go...a bit further and no one will notice anything.aigaara wrote:yeah it is kinda creepy how people do dress up like their favorite characters but if u do it for halloween it isn't really that bad..........
