Unfortunately I still don't know the character's name, but so far my favorite is that huge robot dude. >_> I sound so retarded not knowing the name.
Kichukiyo... or something like that.

You know, that had me going "WTF??" as well. It's just one ep (thusfar, and I've watched all 5 US release disks)...but it clearly stands out. I remember when watching it thinking to myself "God, I hope they don't continue in THIS vein." Thankfully, they didn't. I've seen it crop up a couple of times on disk 5 (mostly in background characters), but it wasn't for the duration of the whole ep, like it was on disk 2.

All in all, though...I'm really liking this series...a lot. Already have disk 6 on pre-order. :D

Episode 1 was on this weekend.... no april fools joke either!!!
Well, you've certaining fooled me a long time ago. No literally...

Anyways, your IFC is currently playing Samurai 7, while my IFC (in Canada) gets well...a rollin' bush.
But that don't matter, because right now playing this May on my IFC is a little dose of anime goodness! That's right.
My IFC is playing these titles:
Ninja Scroll
Blood: The Last Vampire
Memories
Cowboy Bebop: Knockin' on Heaven's Door
and finally Ghost in the Shell (the first movie).

Other than that, I actually enjoy watching Samurai 7 with it's crisp animation and good storyline based on the original "The Seven Samurai" movie. What I find so unique about this series is in the english version, they say their full japanese names like "Kambeiosama" or "Rikichidonno" (sorry for the spelling) . You don't hear something like that in most english oriented anime series.

Must say this show is getting better with each episode. I think I'm on either 5, 6, or 7, but the episode on tomorrow is the one where Kikuchiyo gets some recognition I believe. Looking forward to it. Kikuchiyo>>>>>>God

I've been watching a bit of the sub, I must say even though I like the dub of it, I like the sub more. Gorobei's voice is so....energetic and awesome in japanese. :)

Hahaha, I did too. I say it on my guide channel "Samurai 7...what's that?" Since it was the first episode and 15 minutes in I had it on mute. I remember looking at Kirara and Katshiro "Hmm, this anime does have decent girls"

Hahaha, then when I heard KOENMA's voice I was like "...Shit. >_>"

Hahahaha, poor Kyuzo. Most definately male. >_> You need to watch more anime if you couldn't tell.
