RipIt4Me - New dvd ripper
http://www.ripit4me.org/ New dvd ripper, supports the latest copy protection. It's a free alternative to anydvd. Someone really should make a sticky saying STOP USING DVD DECRYPTER.

Fucking tard.. it's one of the best decrypters out there so i don't see the point in doing that. there you go again with your..(ok.. nevermind.. i got nothing) stuff you do when your being like that way or something. o_Obum wrote:http://www.ripit4me.org/ New dvd ripper, supports the latest copy protection. Name me an anime which uses any copy protection that DVD decryptor can't handle. I've seen people bitching here on the forums about not being able to rip some holleywood movie with it, but I haven't heard of any problems with anime yet. If there is an issue, I might look into suggesting an alternative in the video guide.bum wrote:Yes I know rex, dvd decrypter is a great app. But for the average person who won't use any of its advanced functions ripit4me is a better choice simply because it supports all the latest forms of copy protection, which dvd dec doesn't.

Ok, since I can't test this out myself, and I don't see an answer on the ripit4me site, maybe someone else can answer this:
Ripit4me has 3 steps: dvddecryptor, fixvts, and then dvdshrink. Obviously, we don't need to do the dvdshrink step. I am wondering about the fixvts stepp though. The documentation doesnt make it clear whether thats something that needs to be done SPECIFICALLY FOR dvdshrink, or if its something that needs to be done in general. So, assuming we are opening the vobs in dgindex rather than dvdshrink, is the fixvts step necessary?

Do you know this from experience? Where you able to bypass the protection with any program? That makes me mad that it doesn't work! I use DVD decryptor for all my DVD ripping.. it sucks to know I'm going to have to use another program if I want to rip that DVD.Janzki wrote:Gankutsuou Vol. 4 (R1)Zarxrax wrote:Name me an anime which uses any copy protection that DVD decryptor can't handle.
