I actually have no idea what Afghan Kabob is. For all I know, it could be a rug store. I'm sure that they'll serve us food if we ask them for food and pay them for the food that they bring us.
From the outside, it looks like a Middle Eastern Bistro.
BUT! I figured I'd look it up.
"Afghan Kabob
Middle Eastern, $7 to $14, City Center
A couple of blocks up from the Inner Harbor, this bare-bones spot serves simple, delicious Afghan fare. Order at the counter -- start with the pumpkim appetizer, then try the lamb kebab, which comes with salad, rice, and fresh pita bread, or a vegetarian plate that might include chickpeas, lentils, and okra -- and grab a table. It's a good alternative to the pricier options by the water for lunch or an early dinner (it closes at 8 PM). AE, MC, V. Closed Sun.
Address: 37 S. Charles St., Baltimore, MD, USA"
So, they most likely don't serve alcohol, and they close early. Probably not the best choice. Unless you folks only want to chat for half an hour. Or so. It's closer to the convention than some of the hotels. I'd still like to go, even if it is a little odd. If the majority votes to go somewhere else, I'm still going to check it out on Friday or Saturday for lunch.

Why not just do Uno's again? I mean I know it's the same thing as least year but everyone seems to end up there EVERY YEAR (so it's kinda tradition).
About meeting IN the lobby though, that's a no no.
Pre Reg pickup starts at 5pm and once you get your badge they will likely kick you out to make room for the other ignorant masses ^_^.
Perhaps Pratt Street Lobby, but OUTSIDE... near the little driveway there.
So 7pm ya say? Well no matter WHERE we go I'm in, so people who know me keep an eye out as I plan to be there. I'll try to get Antonio there too so you guys can swarm him with questions about things like um "Where the hell were you man?" *elbows Vlad* ^_^
Oh and I may have gifts for some people.

No it wouldn't... it would be fun for everyone ^_^Kionon wrote:Just don't kill me for my comments on the contest prep. Again, nothing personal, it would be akward if you tried to strangle me over a dinner table.
PM your comments to me right now if you like... I'd rather hear it now than when I'm trying to eat, and within striking distance.
