Sucks. However, I can't think that it's a problem primarily from the 'tube uploaders. Most of the video descriptions, including the one this thread started only looked barely litterate. Do cons even accept highly compressed Xvid files, with or without bumpers?

Thinking about it.. the big cons like AWA are likely flooded with high quality innovative videos, but the smaller ones like 'Wickatcha county Anime fair' are, on the other hand probably desperate for anything at all to show. If that's the case then I don't think there is anything that can be done since you'd have to police the cons. I'm sure that being reasonable people 'we' could come up with ways to more or less legitimize the work put into AMVs. The problem is getting the rest of the world to accept it.

I can imagine what I'd do to some poor shithead's face if they won like say a large cash award or some free anime after turning any of my vids to a con... and I'm certain you all feel the same...

AMV hitmen. Two guys with laser mice blind their opponent while a third whacks him over the head with a keyboard. distro disks as ninja stars (that never fly straight).

Now even though she deleted all the posts, I had a 4chan /b/ raid unleashed on her last night that resulted in some mild success.

I blocked her immediately after her initial comment of "I DO NOT STEEL VIDS, U R BAD." I knew she'd spam me if I didn't, so I was prepared for the onslaught.
