in WMM, take your AMV, save it as a DV-Avi, upload it into VirtualDubMod, and crop it.

That's it in a nutshell.

Uh... no. Did you read the guide that Kalium linked? Painting over the subtitles frame by frame is just ONE way of getting rid of them. You can also crop your video, or add black bars on the top and bottom. Those two are much easier to do.

I used blurlogo er, logoaway to just blend out the subs...

In some scenes [my Boys Be vids] it works great since the subs are on top of a uniform colored scene with no interceding lines...

In my oldest vid I allowed on the org, there's some VERY ugly blurring during one of Inu Yasha's scenes

I figured Logoaway was my best shot but now, DVD domestic rips are the king of editing... at least, for me, for 2years or so, ack*

your 'remastered' version has subtitles?

Crop them using virtualdub as mentioned. Add black barsif you want to maintain 4:3 aspect ratio.

Off topic question: this topic was on General AMV with MOVED: right before it, (as mare all other moved topics, it's just that the question occured to me now). What's the point if it's still there?
And God spoke unto the Chicken, and He said: "Thou shalt crosseth the road", and the Chicken did cross the road, and there was much rejoicing.

Not all of them.

When moving a thread, phpBB has the option "Leave shadow topic in old forum." (which defaults to on) The guideline I got from Phade long ago was, if it's a new(ish) user, leave the shadow topic so they don't go asking where their thread went. (I don't know who moved this particular topic)
