all of the software included in the amvapp will help in one stage or another (stages of making an amv that is)
and to make a good amv, it takes practice, talent, patience and a bit of luck (quality programs like adobe premiere or final cut pro also can help)

to become good, I'd reccomend watching good videos (see the top 10%, accessable through your members main page)

I heartily disagree. The top ten percent are more like what the org as a whole is thinking. Plenty of awesome videos never make to that list, and there are plenty on that list I think of as total crap.

Oh, to keep this on topic Free subbing program: Sabbu

There aren't any Free (as in Freedom) editing suites for OS X that I am aware of as a mac user. If Trythil was aware of any, I assume he'd have mentioned it.

Does anyone know a software i can make an AMVs, that is able to read videos that work with only real player (I can't play them using Windows Media Player and DivX so i can't use Windows Movie Maker to make a AMV).

And God spoke unto the Chicken, and He said: "Thou shalt crosseth the road", and the Chicken did cross the road, and there was much rejoicing.

can someone please send me a good/easy to use dvd ripper, all the previous ones I've tried are either to complicated, just dont work or I have to pay a fee. I already tried the ones at this start of this topic and they all came out GZ files? the only one thats really worked for me so far is magicdvdripper but it only allows me to rip 1/3 of a dvd

thanks in advance

either grab the amvapp from this site (it includes a ripper)
or go here http://www.doom9.org/index.html and click downloads then scroll down to rippers
