And another thing: so far everybody's been really good about this, but I think I'll point it out now before Blue gets too far - if you're going to post, post something important. Not any of these one word/sentence jobbers like "Ok" and the such.

And also learning from Sailor Earth's MEP, let's keep this thread on topic. No flaming, no flooding, no posting random pictures. Things like that are liable to get this thread locked. I don't want that.

And yes, little posts like, "Ok" are considered flames I think.

Haha wow what an original contest. Too bad all of this is copyrighted or id say you should sell DVDs of the final product... itd be a great gift for the anime loving gf haha.

Transistions! Transitions! Transitions! ^.^

Me and my sister were up all night racking our brains on what to do for the transistions in between people's videos, and we've got it!

We were thinking of having a few seconds of qoutes from the movies, and video of anime. This enforces why I advise against entrants using quotes since we'll be using qoutes for our in-betweeners, "buffers" we'll call 'em.

The buffers will be made by Sailor Earth. I'll be making the opening and ending credits as well as putting all of this together.

This sounds like an interesting contest however I feel that a week is not enough time to edit a video using the full song at least for me. If anything I would have to do one of the later videos. Actually what I would recommend is to push back the deadlines one month. So that way the first video is not due in one week. If you can work on lets say the Lion King AMV starting now and have it finish by the deadline that'll work into a lot of peoples favors which is great. I just think the early rounds are going to be the toughest to get good submissions. I may join this if I have time.

Sounds like a great idea but seeing as how I'm a neb at editing and only have one video out, I'm gonna have to duck on this one. But I'd deffinitely like to see the videos that come out of this considering it's a pretty original concept.

The Done to the Death rounds seemed like they took forever to get started merely because everybody was waiting for the guest judge to give the green light. So that's my reasoning behind that.

Wow! I've never seen my name up on the org as much as it has been in the last few days......

Anyway, yes, on several occaisions the guest judges took several days, and that annoyed me a little, that's why I created my point system ballots.
They were meant to be used so that I could make an easy decision without a judge. On one occaision however, that was my bad for working 90hours in one week, and totally forgetting what day it was.

Still, a lot of work goes into setting up and running a contest, I hope you're prepared.

As far as this contest, I've decided to choose my battles and make a few very good videos over sending some in every week.

Plus I've got the Done To Death video to make before halloween. Not easy when I essentially have only about 7 days to bring it into full completion from start to fnish.

I'll do my best, hope you like what I end up with!
