LadyPeorth wrote:yay, Tomasu managed to get us the con rate for the hotel even though he just booked our rooms. unfortunately, my friend Heather can't come after all so probably no video camera to video tape the insanity. too bad she didn't bring it to Otakon. it would have been great not only for Corbo Bash but also for all the dead baby jokes. perhaps I will ask her if I can bring it with me... Since Tomasu is not posting, there are about 18 Marist people who just happen to be coming (not an official club outing) including a fair number of freshmen. Oh. some of the freshmen look scary...of course I never talked to anyone before the con last year and I've been told I look pretty scary. Hopefully they will turn out to be cool people. Well, it should be a good time and at least I get to see Nick. :D ahhh...happiness. any way, hopefully all the series work this time unlike the horror stories I heard about Noir last year and that there are more great parodies and I won't sleep through them the first night like I did last year. (Someone wake me up this time!) Well, I'll see people next weekend

I can bring my cam.. I still like one tape left to fill up from AWA.. I only recorded like 3 minutes of "Punch Master James" doing a little triumph impressions. So that leaves me at least 83 minutes of AnimeUSA crazy-ness to record.

Well, I'm currently looking at the schedule of events, so here's some ideas:

There's SOMETHING AMV going on all day Friday and most of Saturday. However, the IMPORTANT stuff (read: non-random AMV screening) is between 3 and 10PM Friday, 10AM and Midnight Saturday (with a break between 4 and 6PM) and nothing on Sunday other than randomness.

So whenever people want to meet, there's always an AMV panel going on or a screening to attend (or ditch). I'm going to be in panel most of Saturday (got a bit excited about volunteering and volunteered for a lot of 'em), so perhaps we can all do an early dinner during the breaktime? I have no idea what's near the hotel this year, but it's in a decent area, should be SOMEWHERE to eat...

and I'm bringing Fruit Punch and Orange for regular drinking. A certain creator with Bunny Ears has promised b33r from the land of golden malt drinks that don't taste like piss, so I am very happy.

The only thing that would make it perfect is if Hsien were to bring DDR2 VCDs for all of us =)

The break sounds like a good time. I'm sure there's someplace to eat around there.

Nightowl: I'll be in cat-ears, so I'll look for ya!

As for the rest of you, I'm going to find Alan (Dji) at the panels he's on, so I might bump into some of ya.

Also, please please please ask me for a CD. I'll have a bag of CD's with me, and for you to take one would be very nice on my shoulders ^^;;

The schedule for AnimeUSA is now online:

http://www.animeusa.org/ausa2002/docume ... gGuide.pdf

This should be helpful for planning things...

In the meantime, for a gathering, according to the website there's a mall a couple miles away with a good food court. The catch is that the entire city of DC and its surrounding area goes there on the weekends, which makes driving hell and it's far enough out that walking is impossible. We could always just take over a hallway and order pizza or something...up to you guys.

Well, "The Digital Age" panel is at 8:00 on Saturday. Do you want to get dinner? I'm sure we can order a pizza and pitch in to pay for it. Lemme know.

I think I can spot Hsein pretty easily (I've seen pictures of him from AWA) and probably Iserlohn, Dji, and Senta. Has anyone talked to Tim Park and see what if he wants to do something? Well lemme know. So far the idea of having lunch/dinner sounds good.

I'm on the digital age panel with Nightowl and Alan. Trust me, you'll want to be attending this one.
