i need some help

i know i have never posted in here before but i have been here for a little while, but that's not important.

now i need help with a strobing effect i have seen in several music videos danny wilson's scatman to name one.

the strobbing effect if you don't know what i'm talking about is the parts in the video that flash white very fast and looks like a strobe light.

i have vegas video and movie maker [ithink everyone has that one though]
how do i do that effect with one of those [perferably vegas]
i need to know because my next one requires it.

You cut the video...

You are much better off doing it with vegas because windows movie maker doesnt give you frame-accuracy.

But basically... if its a black strobe... you would just bring in a black image, trim it to 1 or 2 frames, and insert it over and over. If its two scenes strobing back and forth, you make cuts and alternate between them. Simple.

i always thought it was some kind of digital effect that i hadn't found yet.
