Need help with FTP and uploading

i tried to upload some AMV, then i found out i needed a FTP thingie to do that, i downloaded it, and now it's asking to fill in the site, username, and password... username and password i can manage, but i need the site url, coz i tried but it said it was incorrect... after that i'll be having no idea what to do, i'm still new to the thing and don't know how to do it... so if you please could tell me how to step by step i'd be thankful...

my videos i already uploaded them on youtube, but i want to upload them here for those who want them.

Try this. It's kind of a cheater's way of "getting around" the FTP program. Sort of. Just make sure to use Internet Explorer for that particular process. It should do the trick if FTP programs are giving you grief.

thanks for the help, but in step 4, where you write the URL for the video, the link... i didnt do anything to have a URL or a link for it... how do i get it?

you don't need a link for your video unless you can't have it hosted on the org's server(s)

but if you do have a link (to some off-site host) that would be the place to say where it is.

you can skip over that step, and probably the conventions step as well as the collaborators step

My video is no longer Local... what happened? it's says 'No' now... it was fine this morning!!! someone tell me what happened before i get a nervous break-down....

maybe it has something to do with you having three entries for the video? The admins probably thought you were spamming whatever and removed the video. Go to the mod's dropbox and try clearing it out. Request that only one of the entries be maintained and upload.
