Hunter X Hunter

Ahoy hoy.

I was a bit curious if anyone knows or have heard rumours about a possible sequel to Hunter x Hunter?

I know the last OVA says "GI: Final", but it leaves quite a few questions unanswered.

the manga continues. So far, no plans to continue the anime.

So can anyone hint me on a similar anime? Don't even mention Naruto.
I've used this site: http://www.anime-planet.com/ but I haven't found anything that's really convincing.

it's not "similar" per se, but me and most of my friends who like HxH also liked the Death Note manga. Very intelligent plot. The anime is just coming out (currently, three episodes have aired in Japan).

Something like hunter x hunter ins't really easy to find but DEath Note is really a recommended anime/manga.

Oh, maybe you could check Infinite ryvius because i found it as addictive as when i was watching Hunterxhunter.

I tend to associate Hunter X Hunter with Yu Yu Hakusho (for obvious reasons) and Soul Hunter.

They're both shounen-action, so you might enjoy them

I remember reading somewhere on the animesuki forum that there is one more ova series for hunter X hunter being worked on. It might be the last depending on the health of the creator. The new series is the crimson ants series or something like that.

I always thought of Hunter X Hunter as a mix between Naruto and Rurouni Kenshin. I know you're trying to avoid Naruto (though, the non-filler material is great) but have you tried Kenshin?
