i manage to extract the fmv from kh2.img using nova extractor. and as usual when demultiplex, only m2v and dat files available (not too the dat files is for music?)
another tools that i got help me wz the extraction quite ease as it`s scripted. the only problem that i have still is when demultiplex, it`s m2v files and subs.txt, also the script provided me wz vag sound files. the question is how to play vag/converting it.
thanx

Its going great, I have extracted all the audio, most of the video (not the pre-rendered scenes) and thats about it. Im still working on a way to extract the pre-rendered scenes.angelstarfire_hikarist wrote:How is the KH FMV extractor going? I spotted this post and immediatly became curious...
I am still making a program that automatically extracts the fmv's, auio etc
The project, will probably take until Christmas
I'll definetley release my FMV program before the year 2007
So keep tuned.

All i can say is I'm really excited, I can't wait to see if it turns out or not. Please be sure to make a thread about it and pm me if you can.
I'll be sure to keep an eye on this thread to.
Good luck!
And is it possible to make a ripper for kh final mix? I have tried the final mix one and all it ripped was the x-2 trailer, not the actual fmvs from the game.

hey deanaugust1! If at all possible, post the header(s) your using to locate the fmv's within the KH1 iso. I'd like to try my hand at searching for the fmv's myself. But apparently, searching for the typical hex value of 0000 01BA 4400 0400 0401 doens't seem to work on games w/ encrypted fmv's. (Otherwise Nova Software extractor would'nt have such a hard time finding them.)
So there must be some other hex values the mpeg2 streams are under instead, right? Would you mind telling me any possible hex values you have in mind that I could look for?
