Lucid [Massive Attack - Teardrop / Various Anime]

Post by harph » Thu Nov 16, 2006 7:06 pm

Well, this is my 4th amv so far :] experimented a bit with more anime, some effects etc... Though the concept should be "lucid dreaming", you might get a glimpse of randomeness sometimes as I didn't hold on to the concept very much in the end :] how typical of me.

but enjoy anyway ;] any feedback is welcome.

Holy crap. It's like the end of the freaking world.

Why?

Because this is the third video in two days that I will have to give above an 8 to! Had it been a few minutes shorter, this video would have been an astoundment to the world. Video and audio sync almost too well together!

9/10 - Download this now!!!!!!!

I have been a huge fan of this song for a really long time, so good call on including it in the thread title :-o

At first the opening part seems a little bit pretentious and bleh, but actually it does help to set up the theme/mood of the video. Overall, it really wasn't bad. Video quality could've been much better, but that's not too big of a deal. So yeah. Nice work :)

wow thnx for the comments ^^

@AtomX as for the video quality... it's 2nd pass Xvid with 1024 bitrate, and when I compared it to full quality first pass it was almost identical... Probably the most bad quality impression comes from the variety of sources (from HDTV Ergo Proxy to blurry Chobits fansub), which was also one of the main things I wanted to see how they will look like.

I find it a tad bit hard to believe that the 2nd pass is almost identical considering the file size is 43mb, resolution is 704x396, and the video is 4:53. But either way, I can still tell that the majority of the sources were fansubs. I mean, it didnt look terrible. Just saying, it certainly could've been better in that aspect.

I feel obligated to harp on quality as well, since to me it felt like it should have been very clean, maybe to the point of losing details, and embossed or something along those lines for a sort of.... dream feeling to it, where fitting.

I liked it... but to really enjoy I think its going to take some time to grow on me. Also, your elfen lied video link doesn't work. If you need hosting NGSilver will host it.
