Check out the first English dubbed episode, peeps! And support its DVD release! We need more anime series based from bishoujo visual novels to be licensed and released here!
And I'm dead serious! Prove to them that these types of titles are marketable in the U.S.!
First episode of Kimi ga Nozomu Eien is available!

I'm sure a lot of people who like the series wont buy it because they changed the name. Awesome reasoning wouldn't you say? Bitches
BTW thanks for the link. Checking out the episode right now, and If I have the money I might look into purchasing it, though I might end up waiting for the box set like I do most series.

Wow, funimation got the rights to it! All those idiots who still say funimation sucks need to get their heads out of their ass. They've been doing an awesome job getting the rights to awesome series, and an awesome job with dubbing, way better than what I'm use to from adv films. Give it up for FUNI!!

That would be a pretty weak excuse. 'Rumbling Hearts' was used as a sub-title for one of the games (the PS2 port) that is the basis of this series. AND it is the title of the ED song for the second episode.x_rex30 wrote:I'm sure a lot of people who like the series wont buy it because they changed the name. Awesome reasoning wouldn't you say? It's not like they pulled that name out of nowhere like 'Shadow Warrior Chronicles'...

Doesn't change the fact that it's a pretty lousy-sounding name in English. As I mentioned in my LJ, I think I'd have preferred "The Eternity You Desire" over this.Willen wrote:That would be a pretty weak excuse. Not that I would have bought the series anyway; I liked it, but not quite that much.

I also prefer "The Eternity You Desire" for its literal translation of "Kimi ga Nozomu Eien" and gives me the same feel as the title "The Place Promised in Our Early Days". It would be a bit lengthier, but it would stand out a bit more, IMO. The only problem is that as a title, "Rumbling Hearts" is a bit more in context with the show, even though it is a sappy, goofy title.Scintilla wrote:Doesn't change the fact that it's a pretty lousy-sounding name in English.
