The Wraith MEP - INTEREST GAUGE

Post by dowhatnow » Wed Nov 22, 2006 2:23 pm

For those that don't know, I'm talking about:

The Wraith: Shangri-La

and

Hell's Pit

by the Insane Clown Posse.

The two albums are supposed to be contrasting styles that reflect the artist's (ICP) take on Heaven and Hell, respectively.

Now, on to the MEP

The idea I had was that the editors would each take a track about a minute and a half in length and do their thing. Obviously, I wouldn't do both albums for the same MEP. Each one would get their own. The basics I had in my head:

Tech specs:

720x480
DEINTERLACED FOOTAGE!
NO SUBTITLES, DIVX LOGOS, ETC. OF ANY KIND!
Uncompressed, Huffy, or Lagarith

Other specs:

No limit on gore/hentai/violence/whatever.
Multiple animes per segment allowed

Project Theme:

Broad Scope:
Make it tie in with the whole Heaven/Hell thing.

Narrow Scope:
Editor's choice. Whatever you feel is appropriate for the song you choose, do it, so long as it follows the broad scope of the project's theme.

Stuff I haven't decided yet:

Framerate
Maximum number of segments per editor/studio

I'm trying to see if anyone is interested in such a project, and if there are those interested, how many.

So, any takers?

No one?

Would it be better to guesstimate the interest of .org members with a mix made?

Or could it be that it would be better with full tracks and multiple editors per track rather than a shorter mix?

I dunno. I'll put up a preview mix later.
