WMM will not let me save movie file
when i attempt to save my musci videos it gets to the "saving movie" screen
then it immediatly goes to the "cannot complete the save movie wizard" screen and gives me the error message saying"windows movie maker cannot save the movie to the specified location.Verify that the original source files used in your movie are still available, that the saving location is still available, and that there is enough free disk space, then try again" I have checked all of these things and it still will not let me save the file!

It's possible that either the video you are trying to make is too complex for WMM to handle at once. Try doing what autraya suggests in this thread: http://www.animemusicvideos.org/phpBB/v ... hp?t=74829
OR, you are having codec issues, which is a problem that is less easy to solve.

I used to have that same problem when I was using WMM. When it happened, my computer would tell me that I was getting low on virtual memory (I don't know if that has happened to you..). So, I went into my settings and allotted more space for virtual memory, tried to save the file again, and it worked. I'm not sure if that will work in your situation (or if it's the best thing to do), but it worked for me.
Or...you can just keep trying to save it. Try restarting your computer, or waiting awhile before trying to save it again. I have no idea why, but sometimes WMM would then allow me to save the file if I did either of those things. /:

When I had this problem I had inadvertantly moved/deleted one of the video files/images I had imported and used to make my clip.
When I deleted the file I imediately restored it from the recycle bin buuut the damage was done.
When I moved the file I moved it back/reimported and WMM was still crapping itself, BTW it also doesn't seem to like pulling footage from multiple HDD's (but that could just be me) and has the same error for me.
Oh and this also happened when one of my file corrupted.
Make sure none of the filles you are using have a big X on them in WMM library selection (you may have to scoll up/down to browse them all if they do that explains the problem)
Unfortunately I had to redo my entire amv in this instance (I distinctly remember sweetdeily laughing at the time).

If you've:
1.) tried increaseing the virtual memory (restart shut down other programs etc)
2.) checked the files and they are no corrupt/moved/ big X's
3.) you're not using mulitple HDD
4.) your clips are not encoded with Xvid or the multitude of other codecs WMM doesn't like (there are several threads talking about this)
5.) you are not running the AVI splitter from CCCP or any other splitter ('cause WMM hates them)
6.) you are not using multiple anime with different frame rates or PAR/DAR
then try this:
save project as XXXX (whatever) delete about 90% of your vid (this wont change the original of course) from the timeline and then try saving the movie file and tell me what it's doing.
Why? We are going to use a process of elimination to find which clips are causing you problems.
