Doesn't matter. #4 was indeed Jennifer Sekiguchi a.k.a. Stephanie Sheh. Oh hell, I'll post this post:Scintilla wrote:... okay, I'm an idiot. I'm going with #1. I noticed #2 and #4 mispronounce the romanji for Haruhi Many americans make that mistake of mispronouncing the "R" I notice it alot with Naruto fans aswell in how they say "Naruto"
All of them sound forced compared to the Japanese, But I think its in the actual translation. Or maybe I'm just too used to the Japanese ;p

Ultimately, I went with voice #3 for Yuki.
Julie Ann Taylor was my second guess for voice #2, but the inherent flatness of the character's speaking makes it hard to pick out the vocal cues you normally hear from these people.
I suspect that the rest of the auditions will go with this order: Itsuki, Kyon, Haruhi. The 2 guys will hopefully be easier to pick, with Kyon being the voice you hear the most, a lot of people will rate that the most important. But for me, Haruhi is gonna be the one role that they have to get perfect. She has to be forceful, energetic, direct, scheming, and sometimes melancholy without being annoying to hear. AND, if they for some reason decide to redo the musical performance in English (I hope not), the actress should be able to sing well (or they should do what Disney sometimes does and use a different person to do the singing parts).

None of them are really jumping out at me this time... none of them are really clicking with that perpetually-cool-yet-perpetually-smiling-and-sounding-slightly-gay image, and some of them annoy me with the rise and fall of certain lines (I thought #4 was fine, until "I'll give you the short version").
I can't decide between the two I like best, but that's okay, because neither of them really needs a boost right now anyway.
... but this almost makes me want to record my own take and see if I can do any better.
