"Anime is is bad for the public?"

Ok, I have got alot of people telling me " anime is stupid, pointless, a waste of time, a nusance, a weird art style. At my school and many others acrossed the world. Heh, of course I know they are idiots xD And i know of a few people that actualy don't like anime jsut because they saw one anime,didnt like it and claimed that all anime was stupid. Do people not know that there are many differnt types of anime? Ranging from comedy to romance. And the shocker I love to get newbies with, hentai xD Ok, tell me this this is not educational, and fun.

#1: Anime ispired me to draw,what this to do with my life? well, easy. I'm already writing a manga. which i hopfully plan to publish. that is marketable. there for giving a purpose in life.

#2 Anime is cultural, there for learning about a new culture out side of english ,spanish, etc. that also means that anime is eduational because it teaches another cultural.

#3 Anime has taught me to be open to new idea's and keep my imagination open, and to be extreamly creative. it gives people a new perspective of life, and everyday living.

#4 Anime is Japanese,but the word anime is French. anime has also made alot of people bilingual. there, once again anime pwns in the fact that is makes you smarter xD

Yes, i am aware that ever since "the pokemon and sailor moon era" as i call it, people have grouped anime with the term "childish" one point I must point out is that, sailor moon is NOT made for 5 year olds o_o the ENGLISH dub was majorly screwed with. It's really ment for around 12 and older. Why do you think the last season of it was never translated? The author of the series demanded that Sailor Moon to stop It stopped playing in America because we did such a horrible job with it. And the fact that the stars seasonof SailorMoon, the star lights are girls that turn into guys and sailor moon is naked alot of the time o_O

There for I declare that people that judge anime jsut by watching one are stupid, it means you didnt give it a chance. Now on the other hand all you racist people that won't watch anime just because it's Japanese, you are fools. too all newbies, ithink you are the awsomest people ever. Anyone else have opinions about it? =o

Of course being a huge anime fan i'm biased to defend it, but i heard an interesting thing from my girlfriend when one of her friends was applying for an animation and arts course at university. You had to present a folio of 10 works of art, and apparently the judges were very unimpressed with anime, as in general it seemed simplistic, dull and namely not a good discriminator for hobby artists and those with great talent.

Just something i found interesting.

The simplest thing to do in the world is to stop caring. Stop caring about what non fans say, think, and think of you. Let people say this, that, and the third about anime; you know what the real deal is. Just brush the dirt off of your shoulder and go about your business.

but to you Gothicmoose, I'm from Denmark and here people hate anime, only because of pokemon, in Denmark good anime are not shown i tv therefore think everybody in Denmark that all anime is like pokemon and dragonball yu-gi-oh.

I'm totally agree with you that people should open there eyes and see that anime is more than that, and i does not help trying to tell them (have tried).

I'm not saying that all people should sit down and watch anime, I'm saying
that they should either come with a good reason for hating it, or shut up and leave us open minded humans alone
